Semiconductors have developed very rapidly and are being applied to several academic and industrial fields. Research on semiconductor materials, devices, processes, and circuits have evolved through diverse methods. The various types of semiconductors and fluctuations of different markets are making the relevant industry area more intense. The Department of Semiconductor Science, Engineering and Technology has adopted a method in a way by applying digital twin and artificial intelligence to focus on the education and research, beyond the conventional method. A curriculum emphasizes on design and provides principles and standards for the present and future education, with no differentiation between science and technology.
The department aims to cultivate talented people with inquisitiveness, ingenuity, and self-motivation through creative problem-solving methods. Through the graduate program, students can learn the basic principles of materials, devices, processes, and circuits and learn the ability to apply the knowledge to the development of semiconductor research and technology. The graduate program is operated for the master’s and doctoral students with the highest priority in being able to become the necessary human resources in research, industry, and academia.
